"Much like the early work of Stephen King, this novel is literally gripping. It grips with clammy claws, with skeletal fingers, with--I'm too creeped out to write any more! "

" This book features the short story "Without You" which Guns N' Roses videos "Don't Cry", "November Rain", and "Estranged" are based off. The original print this book is quite valuable. "

" i finally tracked this book down to read the short story that Guns & Roses video for November Rain in based upon, Without You. oh my god is the story boring. i've had the book almost 2 years and i still can't finish the story. it's good if i can't fall asleep though. "

" Very disappointing. I was thinking I would love this set of short stories due to the November Rain of GN'R and Estranged...Just not all that great. "

" Rarely does horror fiction affect me…but this one sent my mind spinning. Bizarre dreams, moments of odd introspection and just an overall feeling of unease accompanied me during my time with this book. The story didn’t get me as much as Hubbard’s prose and insane tangents did. "

" I wonder if reading a book like this, written in 1940, is akin to watching The Birds... not scarey by today's standards but maybe it laid the foundation for the modern horror writers. "

" Terjemahannya jelek banget, jadi bacanya buru-buru. Ending ceritanya lumayan menarik walau klise. Tapi karena terjemahannya soooooo annoying, gw nyesel ngapain buang-buang waktu baca buku ini. "

" Apparently, there's a lot more going on here than I got out of it. Well, I didn’t like it and Kiyan loved it. After hearing his analysis of it I felt like an idiot. But I still didn’t like it. "

About L. Ron Hubbard

L. Ron Hubbard (1911–1986), with nineteen New York Times bestsellers and more than 230 million copies of his works in circulation, was among the most acclaimed and widely read authors of the twentieth century. As a leading light of American pulp fiction through the 1930s and 1940s, he was further among the most influential authors of the modern age. Indeed, from Ray Bradbury to Stephen King, there is scarcely a master of imaginative tales who has not paid tribute to him.
