Divorced and disillusioned about relationships, Theresa Osborne is jogging when she finds a bottle on the beach. Inside is a letter of love and longing to “Catherine,” signed simply “Garrett.” Challenged by the mystery and pulled by emotions she doesn’t fully understand, Theresa begins a search for this man that will change her life. What happens to her is unexpected, perhaps miraculous-an encounter that embraces all our hopes for finding someone special, for having a love that is timeless and everlasting…. Nicholas Sparks exquisitely chronicles the human heart. In his first bestselling novel, The Notebook, he created a testament to romantic love that touched readers around the world. Now in this New York Times bestseller, he renews our faith in destiny, in the ability of lovers to find each other no matter where, no matter when…

" One of the finest books made by Nicholas Sparks. It moved me so much especially in the end part. It makes me wonder if there could be someone like Garrett in this real world and if he's really existing I hope I could meet him in person. =) "

" I really did't expect it to be a sad ending one. I thought Garret would survived at first, I really surprised that he didn't. I burst into tears because Garret was died :( but I still love it :) "

" Nicholas Sparks has done it again! This is just classic Sparks. His books seem to have many things in common. You can tell it's a Sparks book just by reading the first couple pages. And this is no different! Nicholas is such a fantastic story teller. These stories get me so entranced, and I can never put the books down. Although Message in a Bottle isn't one of my favorites of his, it was still very good. I wasn't as into the love of Theresa and Garrett as I usually am. I never thought they were the cutest couple ever like I have for some of his other books, but it was still an adorable story. I had never gotten around to reading this one because the movie is his oldest movie, and they were actors/actresses that I had never heard of before. And the Sparks movies that have actors/actresses that I recognize and love like Rachel McAdams, Channing Tatum, Amanda Seyfried, and now Julianne Hough make me want to read them even more. So I'm glad I'm in the Nicholas Sparks challenge so that I can now force myself to read all of these fantastic love stories. I used to think that the people who read Sparks' books were usually not big readers. I thought that people read them even if they weren't big readers because they were mindless love stories. But I actually REALLY enjoy them. I've read a lot, and they still do a lot for me. Nicholas Sparks is actually a fantastic writer, and he makes you fall in love with his characters and his stories. And they aren't just only sappy love stories. I think they have so much more depth, and if you're weary of trying one out, I advise you do. They're amazing! "
