"Really enjoyed this. It's a shame it took so many years to finally see the light of day, but not a surprise- the book was ahead of its time. A coming of age of a young gay man that doesn't judge and doesn't have a sad ending. Really appreciated what the author did. "

" There is something rather slight and fluffy about this short novel, Forster's one book to deal explicitly with his homosexuality. But after so much glorious sadness throughout the man's works, can you really begrudge him a happy ending? "

" This book didn't have the greatest writing I've ever encountered (though far from the worst, also), but it had so much soul that I couldn't help but love it. This is a wonderful book you can't help but get invested in and I would highly recommend it. "

" Excellent gay romance story. I wrote a ten page paper on this in college. The movie is just as great. "

" I enjoyed this book, but can not give it 5 stars for the same reason why young Maurice is angry at his teacher after he explains sex. "
