Mark is a Jew writing for a predominantly Gentile audience in Rome. Written during a period of intense persecution under the Roman emperor Nero in 64-68 B.C., Mark offers an urgent message for a community in crisis. With its fast start (Beginning the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Son of God... as it is written in Isaiah the prophet), Mark hits the ground running, and he doesn't slow down until the final episode at the end, in which the women who see Jesus' empty tomb say nothing, for they were terrified. Mark's Gospel is a clarion call to action. Master story teller, Dr. Bill Creasy, sounds the trumpet!

" Percy Jackson has just been reunited with his girlfriend Annabeth, after months of making friends at a Roman camp. The gods of Olympus want Greeks and Romans to become allies to fight the giants. But the Greeks come in a warship, which intimidates the Romans, and evil spirits start possessing the Greeks to make them fight the Romans- and each other. In the midst of a war that no one wants, Annabeth must follow a clue that only she can see, that leads her to something that can help kill giants, but she has to do it alone and there is a deadly trap at the end. " I think that out of this series ( the heroes of Olympus) this is the best book and for mainly one reason, the group of demigods finally come together and the story really takes off. My main problem with this book would be the mark of Athena, it doesn't really make much sense because it is supposed to help them but all the statue is, is a statue of Athena, over all I recommend this book to anyone reading the series. " The 3rd book following Heroes of Olympus and Neptunes Son is Mark of Athena which follows the story of Percy and Annabeth accompanied by new companions who are of Roman and Greek descendant (Demi-Gods) such as Jason, who is the son of Jupiter/Zeus and Hazel who is the daughter of Pluto/Hades. In this story, each character is faced with a challenge or fear that they have to overcome, in this case, Annabeth has to go into the depths of Arachnie's cave and retrieve the gold statue of Athena and bring it back to Greece. This is a great book, that follows a great series so far and includes many figures from greek or roman tales, and i can not wait for the next one to come out. "
