"1. I learned that in Venice they only have canals. 2. I also learned that they had a book that made metal turn soft and made stone come alive. 3. The third thing that I learned was that Venice has a carnival day that has a lot of people come and also that there are fireworks on that day."

" Magic Tree House #33 in Venice at Carnival. Cute enough. The chapters have gotten longer I guess because the age of the kiddos increases as they work through the series! "

" I think I'm beyond the age of enjoying Magic Tree House. Or maybe I just didn't like how the author narrated the book. The children sounded a bit nasally. And I got distracted by all the "he said" and she said." I suppose for a young reader it helps to have that pointed out frequently. But it is certainly not a story for depth (though I don't think they are intended to be anyhow). However, the main point for reading this was to fill the O author category. Done. "
