Publisher Description

Mary Elizabeth Potter is a self-appointed spinster with no illusions about love. But she is a good teacher, and she wants Wolf Mackenzie's son back in school. And after one heated confrontation with the boy's father, she knows father and son have changed her life forever.

Still paying for a crime he didn't commit, Wolf Mackenzie has a chip on his shoulder the size of Wyoming. But prim-and-proper Mary Elizabeth Potter doesn't see Wolf as the dangerous half-breed the town has branded him. Somehow she sees him as a good, decent, honest man. A man who could love....Wolf's not sure he, or the town of Ruth, Wyoming, is ready for the taming of Wolf Mackenzie.

"I love this book. Its one of my go to make me feel happy books and has been for years. Its a shorter book, but I love how this author is able to have such vivid descriptions and characters with such few words. Mary Elizabeth Potter is one of my all time favorite heroines. She is so small but has such a force of will that all bow down before her and her mighty school teacher finger!"

" This was the second Linda Howard book I ever read, the first being Mackenzie Mission. I have probably read this series a dozen times. This is one of my go to books when I just want to snuggle up and have a nice read. Defiantly a series to get lost in. "

" Yes, I know that everybody in the world loves this one, but I have to join the pack anyway. The hero is so heart-wrenchingly proud and tortured, and the heroine is such a sweetie that I find myself rereading this one at least once a year. "

" A quick read romance in a small Wyoming town where a new "old maid" of 29 years has come from the deep south to teach Seniors in high school. A half breed Indian has dropped out even though a top student. She needs to get him back but doesn't realize how she will be attracted to his dad. Or how the small town holds such animosity toward the Mackenzie father and son. "

" I liked this book, a modern romance with a "who dun it" twist. It's the first of 5 books, so it's a setup for the next book...I'd recommend reading them in order. "
