Publisher Description

How do you know if you've found the one? Can you really love the one you're with when you can't forget the one who got away? Emily Giffin, author of the New York Times bestselling novels Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and Baby Proof, poses these questions—and many more—with her highly anticipated, thought-provoking new audio novel Love the One You're With. Ellen and Andy's first year of marriage doesn't just seem perfect, it is perfect. There is no question how deep their devotion is, and how naturally they bring out the best in each other. But one fateful afternoon, Ellen runs into Leo for the first time in eight years. Leo, the one who brought out the worst in her. Leo, the one who left her heartbroken with no explanation. Leo, the one she could never quite forget. When his reappearance ignites long-dormant emotions, Ellen begins to question whether the life she's living is the one she's meant to live. At once heartbreaking and funny, Love the One You're With is a tale of lost loves and found fortunes—and will resonate with anyone who has ever wondered what if.

"I so love this book. I fell in love with Andy in the end, even though his character wasn't given much emphasis, it focus more on Ellen's hidden feelings for Leo. I know how Ellen felt when she found out that her friend Margot betrayed her by not telling her that Leo came back for her 2 years ago, when she started dating Andy, but on the other hand I would do the same because she saw how Ellen suffered from Leo, how Ellen losses her individuality because of too much love, and she became a person she is not. I guess Margot intentions conflicted because the other person was her brother, because as we all know blood is always thicker than water. But to sum it all it is a great book to read, it's very realistic, and the author was able capture the emotions of the characters of this book, and I almost forgot I love Suzanne, Ellen's sister because inside she is a passionate person. :))"

" I thought it was very uplifting. It makes you really think about love and what goes into such a commitment. How it takes place for somepart of it in Atlanta, which is where I am from, she dislikes the city there kinda like me. It was eye opening and the ending is so surprising that I had tears in my eyes....happy or sad? Read and find out. =) "

" This was a tough one to rate. I honestly didn't care for the main character till the last few pages of the book. She was a little too complacent and never stood up for herself. She complained in her head but was too afraid to ever speak up. This happens in real life, to everyone. But she just seemed to do it constantly! However, the end of the book showed that she was just working through something and I liked the resolution. So my thought is that if you are reading and not liking her like me, finish! You won't be disappointed in the end. The book covers the scary topics of marital infidelity, "the one who got away", passive aggressive mother in laws, and friendship. "

" This one "hit home". Another one of those books with a character that has some similarities to thoughts and experiences in one's own life. Although I was not completely riveted by the storyline, I still found myself turning to the next page to discover what would happen next. The culmination was, to quote Randy Jackson on American Idol; "Just aw'ight for me, Dawg". "

" This is by far one of the best if not the best book I've read in a long time. I loved every minute of it and basically read 3/4 of it in one morning! It is truthful and real. It made me laugh and cry. I loved it. It is a great book about love, life, the decisions and choices that we eventually have to make. It's a great story! "

" I'll always love Emily's writing style, but this was not one of my favorites. I don't like the message behind it, and it didn't make me care for the characters at all, good or bad. I just didn't care what happened in the end, which is not how I felt reading her other books. "
