" I approached this book with some expectations, and perhaps it suffered from that. I found the "religious" nature of the approach rather patronising, and many of the lessons are little more than common sense. That is not to say that the a e dotes are without value - as they say " common sense ain't that common!" "

" I preferred the first part of the book to the later parts. I have no doubt this was ground breaking when it was first published, but I didn't find a lot that was really new to me; and big chunks of it came across as kind of Father Knows Best patronizing. "
