" This book was an interesting read. It was written more like a historical novel than a non-fiction book, which is probably why it was easy to breeze through. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the topic. I'm sure there are many more well-researched books on Lincoln's assassination but for anyone with a more casual interest in history, this is worth the read. "

" For me, it was a slow start because I'm not very good at reading battle scenes but I'm so glad that I got through it. So much history that we don't know until we read an amazing piece like this! "

" Written book on the facts of why Lincoln was killed and why John Wilkes Booth wanted him dead. We think we know everything about an historical event, but found many new and interesting happenings surround about Booth and Lincoln that were new to this read. Good research. "

" This book was great reading! It told the story of Abe Lincoln's assassination in great detail. While reading it I learned many new facts. If students were interested, or learning about the Civil War or President Lincoln I would definitely add this book to their reading list. The chapters are short, there are picture throughout the book, and it is loaded with facts. This book is a great tool to use in a classroom. "
