Publisher Description

My tendency to make up stories and lie compulsively for the sake of my own amusement takes up a good portion of my day and provides me with a peace of mind not easily attainable in this economic climate.

—Chelsea Handler, from Chapter 10 of Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang

It's no lie: Chelsea Handler loves to smoke out dumbassness, the condition people suffer from that allows them to fall prey to her brand of complete and utter nonsense. Friends, family, co-workers - they've all been tricked by Chelsea into believing stories of total foolishness and into behaving like total fools. Luckily, they've lived to tell the tales and, for the very first time, write about them.

"I died laughing this book. Okay, that's a lie, obviously I'm still alive... but, if I had a weak bladder like Chelsea I'd have needed a change of pants rather often, too, after grabbing and holding my coslopus from laughing so hard."

" Although still not as funny as Chelsea Handler's first 2 books, this one was really fun in that you get to how she acts on an everyday basis and sort of why (in my opinion, she is hilarious, cringe-worthy, and selfish and generous at the same time). "

" Although the first 1-2 chapters started out amusing, the book plummeted in entertainment and wasn't that funny. It kind of made chelsea seem more sadistic and making up for it with expensive (and exotic) trips with her friends. The last 2 chapters (with requests of bleeps of her show and written by her 'dog)' were unimaginative and boring. I wouldn't waste my time reading it, although its a 6th grade reading level. "

" I had this on audible and quit about half way into it (and I'll trudge through almost anything!). Just un-funny. I never watch her show, so not really sure what I was doing with this in the first place. Trying to recreate my Sarah Silverman Bedwetter love, I think. "

" Not as good as other Handler books but it was still really funny. My favorite line from the book: "Watching him apply sunscreen is like watching someone rub Ranch Dressing into a brown shag carpet." "

" This book is just as funny as all of Chelsea handlers others maybe even funnier. The stories by her friends and family members keep you laughing throughout the whole book. I hope to never be one of Chelsea handlers victims. "

" My friend Alicia recommended I read all of Chelsea Handler's books because they're soooooo funny. I don't think she's funny. I think she's mean. These people put up with a lot to get their free trips to Cabo, lemme tell ya . . . "

" If half these stories are true than Chelsea Handler is psychotic! I am all about practical jokes but these go way over the line! The stories are pretty funny but sad at the same time that Chelsea is able to fool people into believing these lies and the extremes that they go to because of them. "
