Publisher Description

What would happen if millions of people around the world suddenly disappeared one day? In this fascinating apocalyptic thriller, best-selling Christian inspirational authors LaHaye and Jenkins pool their considerable talents to answer that question. Narrator Richard Ferrone's unusually deep and hypnotic voice will keep you right in the middle of this not-unimaginable end of the world nightmare. Pilot Rayford Steele is contemplating adultery with a young flight attendant when over 100 of his passengers simply vanish, leaving vacated clothes and bewildered companions. Rayford and the others left behind must deal with mass chaos on top of personal loss. Among the passengers still left is star reporter Cameron "Buck" Williams, who just got the assignment of a lifetime: find out what happened and why. Theories abound, from Christian Rapture to alien abduction. Buck suspects secret meetings between international power brokers are somehow connected. And rising political icon Nicolae Carpathia seems to be at the center of it all.

"I really liked the first book. It was so exciting the blend of religion, suspense, action and adventure. The books in the middle of the series are okay, but the books at the end get more and more unbelievable as the action becomes more outlandish. I am sure there are those who consider these books to be the gospel, but it is only their fictious interpretation. If you can read it as a novel, then it is very interesting."

" In continuing the Left Behind series, Nicolae Carpathia, AKA the Antichrist "desecrates" some of the most revered religious sites in both Judaism and Christianity. He is more adamant on all citizens taking his mark or facing immediate exicution. Now his workers who are followers of Christianity are now fleeing at all costs. "

" I love the topic which is why I read these books. The last days is fascinating to me and I thought the author did a fantastic job researching her storyline. Her footnotes alone make the series worth reading. The story was a bit too predictable for me and the characters a little fake. I was also surprised to see so many typos in this book which took away a lot of credibility reading. "

Frightening, frustrating, will leave you feeling grief stricken for those lost, sickened for the obscenity along the Via Delorosa and into the Holy of Holies, and at the same time full of hope knowing despite the carnage it will end triumphantly for those that gain faith. " I approached the series with a bit of doubt that I'd read much of it, but was pleasantly wrong. The series is captivating and imaginative. I am not a supporter of the idea of Tribulation yet to come as the authors purpose, but can appreciate their telling of such a tale. As a ficiton series I would strongly recommend checking it out. As Biblical truth...I'll leave that to your religious belief system. "
