"I liked this one much better than the first book. I didn't care overly much about Kes (book 1) but the main characters in this book, Gereint & Tehre, were fabulous. The book is beautifully written and the plot twists were intriguing." — Heather (5 out of 5 stars)

" I liked this one much better than the first in the series, mostly because I really liked Gereint and Tehre. The griffin issues seems pretty settled, so it will be interesting to see what book three brings. "
" I very much liked the concept of the geas and Gereint's character in general. "
" I actually preferred to first book....mostly different characters "
" Best of series, largely because one of the supporting characters was so funny. Nice to see a really smart lead character, too. This series is very traditional fantasy, with nice non-derivative world-building. "
" I kept waiting for it to tie into the first book....which took a really long time - half the book before a character from the first book shows up! Which is actually quite interesting. "
" Can't wait until #3 comes out! "
