Publisher Description

Kris Jenner executive produces and stars as matriarch on the hit reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians on E!, now in its fifth smash season. Here, this ambitious businesswoman who has catapulted her family into the public consciousness reveals what it's like living under the celebrity spotlight and touches on themes of love, loss, marriage, divorce, and motherhood.

Now the mother of six children - Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Robert Jr., Kendall, and Kylie (and the grandmother of Mason) - opens up about her first marriage to Robert Kardashian (widely known as one of O.J. Simpson's defense attorneys); her current marriage to Olympic decathlon Bruce Jenner; her often controversial parenting style; O.J. Simpson (she was Nicole Simpson's best friend); her work in television (she is currently the executive producer of all four hit Kardashian shows - Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Khloe & Lamar); and more. A media and marketing powerhouse, Kris and her family collectively earned more in 2010 than Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, and Tom Cruise combined. This inside look will appeal to more than just other multitasking moms, but also anyone interested in what it's like to be the head of such a famous family!

"my saving grace really .. i actually really enjoyed this and it evoked some powerful emotions for me to see the depth of love , loss , tragedy , bewilderment and the starting of the brand that was the kardashians from the matriarch of the family . i especially felt it when their father died , which was heartwarming yet so sad . it portrayed the mother in a new light for me and i kinda understood certain choices she has made along the way ! all in all really enjoyed this one :)"

" I liked the first half of the book. She had rather humble beginnings and worked hard in her teen years. I lost interest in the OJ trial section of the book. "

" I remember randomly reading Latoya Jackson's biography once upon a time and really liking it. This was on the staff picks at the library and so I got it out of pure curiosity. There was a lot of insight into the OJ case which I didn't expect and that was interesting and sad. It was kind of fun to read for back story but annoying too because these people are just so not real people. Kris' whole life revolves around making money. "

" I feel this book "humanized" the Kardashians beyond the quirky annoying antics you may see on TV. I'm not a huge nonfiction fan, but am a huge crime mystery person and when I heard this book contained a lot about the Nicole Simpson murder I instantly bought it. I found it a quick plane ride read. " Interesting book, got a big big-headed and too fast-paced in the end, but the very personal bits around the family and the OJ trial were great. Worth a read to get your head around celebrity culture today. "

" Only because I can't rate it any lower and yes, I am kind of embarrassed to admit I read the damn thing. She did have an insiders view of the OJ Simpson stuff which was interesting. The woman is full of herself. Very poorly written - couldn't she afford someone to help her write it? "

" This book was mostly about the Simpson murders, she was overly praising of her ex-now deceased-husband and wasn't enirely honest about past events publicised in the media. But it's entertainment what do you expect? "

" It was entertaining. It was mostly about her younger years and I found the behind the scenes details, on the OJ Trial, pretty cool. Other than that, it was just like reading a gossip magazine and not much in there that I didn't already know. But, it was still interesting to read, if your bored. LOL "
