Publisher Description

Renowned journalist and respected author Farai Chideya makes her fiction debut with Kiss the Sky. Sophie "Sky" Lee is a washed-up rocker who yearns for the days when she poured her soul into music. She gets a second chance when a charity event reunites the old band, and her savvy manager boyfriend puts the group back on tour. But Sophie is pulled in another direction when she finds that Ari, the lead guitarist and her ex, has cleaned up his heroin-addled ways and wants her back.

“Full of passionate descriptions of performing, drinking, and sexual encounters, this debut is a messy but engaging shout-out to the rock-and-roll life.”

— Booklist

" The book is kind of good but not a fast reading! Complected life of a musician! "

" Didn't really like the main character, so that make me less than thrilled with the book. It was well written, but I could never quite get all the way into it. "
