Publisher Description

Pretty, flighty Daisy Devreaux can either go to jail or marry the mystery man her father has chosen for her. Arranged marriages don't happen in the modern world, so how did the irrepressible Daisy find herself in this fix?

Alex Markov, as humorless as he is deadly handsome, has no intention of playing the loving bridegroom to a spoiled little feather-head with champagne tastes. He drags Daisy from her uptown life to a broken down traveling circus and sets out to tame her to his ways.

But this man without a soul has met his match in a woman who's nothing but heart. Before long, passion will send them flying sky high without a safety net... risking it all in search of a love that will last forever.

"I think this is actually my favorite Susan Elizabeth Phillips book yet! The writing was less cheesy than some of her other books, and I loved the characters. She really did a great job developing the characters. During the climax of the story when Alex and Daisy are performing in the ring after she tells him the big news, then how he takes care of her and opens his heart to her, I actually cried. Very sweet story."

" The most thrilling and important part of this book for me was the fact that Alex was somehow relation to the Czar. Everything else was cliched and kind of bland.. and I really do believe that Daisy ended up forgiving him a little too easily. I would have enjoyed the book way more if they had elaborated on Alex's historic background. Blehh. "

" It was pretty slow to start... I couldn't figure out if it was trying to be a paranormal or what... well it wasn't. It ended up being a pretty good book, and towards the end I really enjoyed it. I started getting really involved with the main character. I don't think I would read this again unless she wrote a sequel involving a secondary character. "

" This book is not part of the Chicago Stars series, but it's my favorite. Forced to marry a circus performer by her father, Daisy's story had me rolling with laughter. Especially, when she had to muck out the stalls. I saw a trailer on this book on youtube that was incredibly HOT! Whew! "

" Rather interesting story with a circus setting incorporating elephants and tiger. I understand Alex had issues and his domineering behavior brought out Daisy's strength of character but I felt his bossiness to her meekness overplayed ... my rating 3.5* "
