Publisher Description

"I've learned that asking ourselves not just what we want to be, but who we want to be is important at every stage of our lives, not just when we're starting out in the world. That's because in a way, we're starting out fresh in the world every single day."

Just Who Will You Be is a candid, heartfelt, and inspirational book for seekers of all ages. Inspired by a speech she gave, Maria Shriver's message is that what you do in your life isn't what matters. It's who you are. It's an important lesson that will appeal to anyone of any age looking for a life of meaning.

In her own life, Shriver always walked straight down her own distinctive path, achieving her childhood goal of becoming "award-winning network newswoman Maria Shriver". But when her husband was elected California's Governor and she suddenly had to leave her job at NBC News, Maria was thrown for a loop. Right about then, her nephew asked her to speak at his high school graduation. She resisted, wondering how she could possibly give advice to kids, when she was feeling so lost herself. But in the end she relented and decided to dig down and dig deep, and the result is this little jewel.

Just Who Will You Be reminds us that the answer to many of life's question lie within -- and that we're all works in progress. That means it's never too late to become the person you want to be.

Now the question for you is this: Just who will you be?

"This was a quick read, great little inspirational ditty by Maria Shriver. She wrote it as an after-thought, as it was the speech she delivered to her nephew's high school graduation. It is a question we all try to answer at some point, both who and WHAT do we want to be. She touches on the whole fame thing, letting kids know that it isn't as glorious as they may believe. Great book to give as gifts for graduation."

" I love this book. I think everyone should read it. I'm serious. Just like the title of the book, seriously.....Just WHO will you be? I'm asking everybody. I learned from this book that it's not WHAT you will be, it's WHO will you be. I can't be able to tell you about it. If you want to know, you have to read it. It is such a good book. I read it over and over again. I love it. "

" If you need answers, search inside you. Try to know who you are for real. Whatever you do for living isn't you the whole you ,you're not that limited thing. You'll never be finished , never be cooked or old to ask your self { what's next ?! }. An Arabian Author said at a time: Answers are blind, questions only are able to see ! This book was a chance for that kind of ability. "

" A quick read that will motivate you to find out just who you will be, and finding out that just who you are, not what you will do is exactly what we are supposed to be doing. I love the part in this book where she banters back and forth with her children about exactly who she is, journalist, First Lady, or just a stay at home mom! It's a cute fast read! Thanks Julia for the gift! "

" A quick read. It was just okay for me. I didn't think that her speech was anything groundbreaking, it seemed like a typical graduation speech to me. I'm sure that its impact came mostly from its delivery, she is a great speaker. But a swift, uplifting read, nonetheless. "
