"Junie B. Jones books were some of my all time favorite chapter books when I was younger. I originally started reading them because I liked that the author had the same first name as me. As I continued reading I found myself lost in a Junie B. Jones world and collected as many books as I could. I could relate to them and found all of the stories so entertaining and joyful to read. I could not put them down, for an elementary student I thought this was quite rare. I look at all of the Junie B Jones books now and would love to read them all over again to see what sparked my interest back then. Barbara Parks is a great children's author, not just because she has a cool first name. This book was about Junie going to her first day of school. Meeting her teacher, riding the smelly school bus, and meeting new friends. These books are great for elementary or middle school students. They can easily relate to Junie while having a great time reading it. These are great books to use in the classroom for book reports, or books to read when you are finished with your work. The chapters are short and it gets students used to reading chapter books and helps to prepare them for the larger books they will read."

" Junie B. Jones is going to kindergarten and has to ride the bus. She doesn't like riding the bus becuase it is smelly and everything about it is unattractive. She learns the riding the bus can be okay if she has an optimistic attitude about it and makes new friends. There are several great discussion points throughout the book that an adult can discuss with a child reader. "

" Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus By Barbara Park is a beginner chapter book. Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus is part of a series of books all based off of Junie B. Jones. I think that Barbara Park created a great series of children's beginner chapter books. I really enjoyed reading these books, this one in particular, when I was in elementary school. These books are great to start out with because they have large text, some illustrations to accompany the text, and are not very lengthy. The book is a cute story about how Junie B. Jones is afraid of going home on the bus; this story can be very relatable and is enjoyable/entertaining to read. I would recommend this book to students that are around the age of seven to nine. I feel as if this book is geared more toward girls but I also think that boys may enjoy it. Overall I think this is a great and fun book to read. "

" Very funny beginning chapter book. The grumpy kindergartener Junie B is a character that will appeal to many girls and boys too. Some incorrect grammar and not-really-so-bad bad words ("stupid" "hate" etc) but that is part of the charm. Looking forward to reading more of the series. "
