Publisher Description

The year is A.D. 95, and John, the one whom Jesus called beloved, is the last of the 12 apostles still alive. Now nearing 90, John is still committed to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. When a renegade begins misleading the masses with dangerous, heretical teachings, John is called by God to write a gospel to show that Jesus was, in fact, the Son of God.

Recalling his time with Jesus, John brings to life the miracles and messages of the Man who would change the course of history. And as John recounts the miracles the Messiah performed during His transformative time on earth, we too are transported to those glorious events.

John experiences persecution, betrayal, torture, and exile, but never falters in his belief or commitment. John's Story is a thrilling account of the life of the man who came to fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament and to save all of humankind, and of the disciple who was the last eyewitness to Jesus' glory.

John's Story brings to life the most important events in human history and also includes the very words that John wrote, words that continue to bring followers to Jesus every day.

"This book series on the authors of the gospel is truly inspiring. It tells of the personal lives of these men and shows life during that times. John was actually my favorite, it was told at the end of his life when he was put on the island in prison and wrote revelations. "

" I was really looking forward to this one. I have to say though, I tend to not like when people suppose around sacred characters. I was happy about the use of actual Bible facts in the book, but their simply was not enough of them. I thought it would be more scholarly than it is. Having said that, I totally see a very valid purpose in the book, bringing anyone closer to the scriptures is great!!! If this is a tool by which to bring people closer to Christ, awesome. If you are a scripture schholar of sorts, pass it on. "

" Find the story telling good. Unfortunately there is some bias that is based on the authors fundamentalist theology. However, truly did enjoy it and did find some new perspectives on this Apostle, though know this was historical fiction. "
