It is a land of wonders!

It is a land of mystery.

It is a land that time forgot (or chose specifically not to remember).

Cut off from the civilized world for untold years, this land is called: DELAWARE

It is into the mist-shrouded heart of this forbidden, mountainous realm that our plucky and intrepid heroes, Jasper Dash, Boy Technonaut, and his friends Lily Gefelty and Katie Mulligan, must journey to unravel a terrible mystery.

Come along on a tale of grand adventure that includes in its pages: Lost cities! Tentacles! Monks! Dinosaurs! Gangsters! Cheap suits! Eye doctors! And, of course, the fabled curse of the jaguar!

"An excellent book, with the unusual combo of one male and two female protagonists, rather than the typical two male and one female. This book is a comedy adventure, and even though I was sick and recovering from childbirth it had me laughing aloud on almost every page, as it takes complete liberties with geography, history, and reality as we know it. Definitely a book I'd recommend to others who want to explore the middle grade genre and see what it has to offer to adults; also, definitely on my list of books to reread."

" I would give this 5 stars, but I feel like the ending really lost some steam. Otherwise, it was absolutely hilarious, laugh-out-loud funny. I liked this one just as much as Whales on Stilts (but more than The Linoleum Lederhosen.) If you can get this on audio, DO IT! "

" This is pure, over the top silliness. I enjoyed laughing as we listened on our car trip. Perfect book for a 8-11 year old that loves to laugh. "

" If you live in or are fond of Delaware, you might be a little offended by Anderson's portrayal of the Blue Hen State (who knew?), which in this book is a combination of Nepal and one of the more repressive former Soviet republics. But I'm not from Delaware, so I thought it was pretty amusing. "

" It had a slightly slow beginning, but once they got Mrglik ambushed them it got really exciting. It was really good, but Jasper Dash and the Flame Pits of Delaware is still my favorite. "
