'Reader, I married him. A quiet wedding we had: he and I, the parson and clerk were alone present.'

Jane begins life penniless and plain: an unlikely romantic heroine. But she is as indomitable in spirit as she is frail in appearance. Taking a position as a governess at Thornfield Hall, her relationship with her employer, the enigmatic Mr Rochester intensifies, until she is forced to choose between the desires of her heart and the demands of a 'moral' society. " Read if for a high school literature class. Unfortunately, my friend was a faster reader and spoiled the ending. The ending was most exciting for a young boy's mind, so I didn't enjoy the story as much as I have enjoyed it now, years later. "

" I had a hard time getting into this book at first. My son Legend had to read it for school, and I wanted to read it at the same time he was so we could discuss it. I ended up listening to it on an audio book on my iphone, and got so hooked I would go get the book and re-read chapters. I loved the plot, and the mystery that develops in the story. "
