"Fantastic book series. This one easily scores 4 1/2 stars. As a whole I'd rate the series as a 5. The plot wasn't mind blowing but the books were page turners. Nothing stood out as fantastic on its own, yet they were fantastic as a whole. I really liked the whole family aspect. I think the author caught the difference in cultures very well. The relationships didn't drag out or get bogged down in drama. The religion aspect was well handled without stepping on toes. In short, it was all very well done. The only thing was that I wished that somehow - spoiler alert here - the Wilder's could have kept their shapeshifting abilities. I'm glad the author didn't do it, that would have probably ruined the whole thing or trivialized the entire plot purpose, but I wished for it just the same."
