" So far, I like this book. It shows the story from the view of a secret Jew. I have a few problems with this book. First off, even though I know it's a young adult's book, it seems to be for youngER adults. The book isn't grown up enough for the topic it covers, and it's clear to me while I read the book. Second, the lack of quotation marks and the use of italics instead is annoying, and I don't know why the Hoffman decided to write it like that, it's different, but definately unnecessary. And third, the book is taking a weird pace. I think this kind of book deserves either a very slow, or very fast pace, due to the topic. It should either take a long, dragged out beginning before revealing the problem, or have a short, quick beginning, for the purposes of explination only. Other than those things, I like the book. I enjoy reading it, and I can't wait to find out what happens next. I like how Hoffman puts small climaxes everywhere throughout the story, and I really want to read the big one. Good so far. "
