The United States stands as the wealthiest, most powerful nation on the face of the earth. But now, in the midst of unprecedented and skyrocketing federal debt, severe economic troubles, political uncertainty, declining morality, a weak church, growing spiritual apathy and apostasy, historic natural disasters, and a myriad of other daunting challenges, many wonder if America's best days are behind her.

Will history's greatest democracy stage a miraculous comeback, returning to the forefront of the world's economic and spiritual stage? Can America's remarkable religious heritage be renewed today with another Great Awakening? Or will the rise of China, Russia, radical Islam, and other external threats - coupled with the U.S.'s severe internal struggles - send her into a death spiral from which there can be no return?

New York Times best-selling author and political expert Joel C. Rosenberg tackles the question: Is America an empire in decline, or a nation poised for a historic renaissance? Implosion will help you understand, through the lens of Scripture, the enormous economic, social, and spiritual challenges facing the United States in the 21st century and explain how you can make a difference at this critical crossroads in our history.

" Wow, it was well sources and the author was very well read but man I was glad when the book was over. I did learn a lot about evangelical christian's point of view that I have never even thought of before. It was interesting and explains quite a bit about our history and if the USA is mentioned in the Bible. Not a topic I had thought about before I had read it. "

" this is good information but it is a basic overview. if you have really been paying attention to things then it is likely information that you already know and is simply a review. if you haven't really been paying attention to Israel, and America in relation to end times theology and the scriptures then this could be a very interesting book for you. my personal view doesn't necessarily agree with joel at all times but i do agree with a lot of his stuff. i have a great respect for Rosenberg. i do believe that America will recover economically but that is because i believe America is the whore of Babylon in the end times and will be destroyed at the appropriate time leaving the merchants of tarshish to weep. " Joel has done it again and this time his book is focused on America and us as Americans. the question posed is can America remain a super power and Godly nation? And if not, what is likely to happen. "

" I love Joel Rosenberg's books, but I had trouble getting into this one. Perhaps it was just too much doom and gloom after the holidays. Will try it again later. "
