Publisher Description

Dani “Mega” O’Malley plays by her own set of rules—and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the few humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.

Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux.

When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks—and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.

Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin—before everything and everyone in it gets iced.

"As with the whole Fever series I loved the book and read it in one day because I couldn't put it down. The story was intense from start to finish. Mac and Barrons were not really in this book; a couple of mentions, but I still loved hearing about them. Dani...what can I say. She may be 14, but she's fecking hilarious! We also see many other sides to her throughout the story. The thing I loved most was the multi-faceted character development for all the characters. We learn more about Dani, Dancer, Christian, Ryordan, Kat and even Lor. The only complaints that I have -without giving spoilers- are the amount of questions that I have hanging at the end of the book (especially about a certain couple) and the frustration that it will be months before any of those questions get answered with another book."

" Told mostly from Dani's POV, I thought I wouldn't like it. But I do! Looking forward to the next installment of this series! I miss Mac and Jericho though. And word of warning, though no sex happens to Dani in this book, I wouldn't recommend it for listeners squicked out by older guys perving or at the very least implied to have sexual interest in 14-year old Dani. " I was really looking forward to this book, but you needed to slog through 200 pages before it got interesting. If I hadn't read and enjoyed the other books in this series, I would likely not have finished it. I think this somewhat accounts for the wide array of reviews on it too. "

" Well little darling Danielle O'Malley (Dani "Mega" O'Malley) A.K.A. The Mega, has really gotten herself into a real situation. Between Dancer, her crush and best friend since her and Mac are at war with eachother, Ryodan who wants to control her and a certain newborn Unseelie Prince to-be who thinks she was meant for him, and Hoar Frost taking over her beloved Dublin... what's the Mega to do? What she does best, help save Dublin while being smart-assed and super fast while doing it. So good to be back in Dublin with some of our old haunts... and a few new ones. Definitely a must read to get a little "Fever" fix we've all been craving since the finish of ShadowFever. "

" Given that this isn't, at all, a YA book - I found the protagonist being a 14 year old girl a little disturbing. Also, Dani's voice and even Ryodan's didn't seem as authentic as Mac and Barrons did in the Fever books. I liked it, but didn't love it, which is a first with a KMM book. "

" I liked this book. Although I liked it better when Dani didn't try to hold on to her adolescent speak. It was slightly creapy that Ryodan and Christian could look at her and picture her legal and say they will wait. It doesn't make it better that they began their attraction to her as a child! "

" I can only take Dani fecking O'Mallet in small fecking amounts, Dude. This. Is. A. Trilogy. Dude, I want to freeze frame through the trilogy, not slo-mo Joe. When Dani waxes grandiloquent, the aberration of her fustian verbiage versus her usual low-brow manner of rhetoric is discomposing. "
