" The main character seems to be a total idiot. It's amazing that this book is classified as "suspense" since pretty much nothing happens for the first 3/4s of it. Not worth reading. "

" Not bad for a mystery. Not too much suspense. "

" this was an interesting story - kept me plugging along - though i was somewhat disappointed that i figured it out. while i think an author should lay the clues out there and not come up with some lame surprise ending that brings in new info at the end or some such thing, i am a little bummed when i figure it out way before it is revealed. i thought it was funny when dafydd referred to sports cars as erection substitutes. i also hated the name dafydd. anyway, i found him to be a seemingly benign, milk toast sort of guy, but he tried to do the right thing for the right reasons. what was up with the women in this book? evil bitches and the men were drawn to them like flies - and what of the awkward almost sex scene with dafydd and tillie? for heaven's sake - the guy was drugged and frostbitten, but she was ready to jump his bones and he was almost into it , too. whatever. " Something kept me reading, but I'm not sure what. It was a sluggish read. Despite the evil villain, I found a real lack of conflict in this book. The one bit of suspense was WHY Sheila decided to "make" Dafydd the father of her twins. I wouldn't read another book by this author. "
