"Loved it. One of my all time favourites. One of his longer ones, perhaps, but absorbing, very well written, just a great story. At the risk of continuing a theme, the film's a turkey and nothing like the book. So stick with the original text instead. " I became obsessed with Maclean when I was ten, and read about seven of his books one summer while up at a lake house my parents rented up in Vermont, near Middlebury. I would read Maclean while in a rowboat, anchored out in the middle of the lake, sitting in an innertube. The perfect place to read. "

" My favourite MaLean's book. This is the way action novels should be written: taut, interesting, and loaded with realistic plot twists, but without any unnecessary violence, sex etc. This book certainly keeps the reader on their toes. "
