" Hilarious and fun for crafts or cooking days. "
-

Shari | 2/18/2014
" Kitschy, off-beat, visually eclectic, this "cookbook/entertaining" guide was fun to read! Recommended for readers with a quirky senses of humor, and those whose sensibilities can take a bit of off-color humor. "

" I accidentally stole this from the book exchange we had at my old job. An awesome addition to my collection. Its a book about entertaining, which is what I do best. It gives a hilarious and biting spin on the art of entertainment in the way that only a Sedaris sibling can. "
-

DMD | 2/10/2014
" Not as funny as I expected but had a couple of good ideas for hosting. "
-

Anie | 2/6/2014
" This book was rather hit-and-miss for me. Some of Sedaris's humor was spot-on for me - and the rest of it was either boring or vaguely offensive. However, I have used some of her recipes, and the book is certainly worth it for that. I especially enjoyed one vanilla cupcake recipe - light, tasty, and actually rather sugar-cookie-y. "

" i want to hug this book "
-

Princess | 1/31/2014
" I flat out did not like this book. I didn't find the photography appealing at all. I know what it was trying to do, but it didn't work. Who wants to try recipes when the food looks so disgusting?! I'm not a big party person anyway, I didn't like the excessive drinking/drug references. Maybe to enjoy one of her parties one must be drunk and stoned? No, thank you. Not my scene. There were a few amusing bits but not enough to make me want to recommend this book to anyone. "
-

Shelly | 1/19/2014
" I never knew recipes could be this funny, and the party tips are wonderfully creative and ridiculous. Amy Sedaris is a genius. "
-

Risa | 1/14/2014

-

Toni | 12/20/2013
" The one recipe that I tried turned out terrible, but I don't think that's the intent of the book anyway. Absolutely hilarious! "

" I like what I read of it, but there are so many words crammed into or meandering about each page that I can't read it right now. There's a lovely Youtube clip of Sedaris with Martha Stewart. "
