" Meh. Perhaps if I tried again, I'd be able to finish this book. But it sat on my shelf for months at home while I sped through loads and loads of other books. I guess it just didn't move fast enough for me. This may be due to the huge cast of characters and how no one character seems to do much of anything for an entire book. "

" Overall a very good series. Anderson developed a universe and several storylines that kept my interest across all seven volumes. I could easily see opportunity for developing a Sci-Fi television series around several of those storylines, particularly the Roamers. "

" Good Stuff. Just when I start to think that there couldn't be any more stuff going on in this series, something else happens. Looking forward to the rest of the books. "

" I like these books by Kevin Anderson because each chapter follows a character. They are great for reading in places where you have small snippets of time like the bathroom, the doctors office, the car waiting to pick up kids, on the morning train, etc. The chapters are short 3-4 pages and only follow one character at a time so it's not too confusing. The characters are also richly developed and the plot is always thickening. Just when you think you've figured it out the author throws something else it the mix which naturally prolongs the saga. Great fantasy, but not for children. It's a bit graphic. "
