Publisher Description

In the second book of Nora Roberts’s Dream Trilogy, the ever practical Kate Powell finds her career sidetracked by a scandal—one that will teach her the value of family, friendship, and love…

Surrounded by the sweeping cliffs and beauty of Big Sur, Kate Powell treasured both her life at Templeton House and the family who raised her like one of their own. Although Kate lacked Margo’s beauty and Laura’s elegance, she knew she had something they would never possess—a shrewd head for business.

Driven by ambition, Kate measured her life’s success with each soaring promotion. But now faced with professional impropriety, Kate is forced to look deep within herself—only to find something missing in her life...and in her heart.

"I like the books by Nora Roberts. Especially the ones that are "family series". 'Holding Dream" is one of such books. I really like the way the author describes the Templeton's family, their traditions, the love of the family and the way they care about each and every one of their family member and friends. All the characters are very strong and absolutely lovable. It is very easy to read. It keeps you wanting for more."

" Hmmm...well it was better than the last one, so that's good. I'm glad they made Kate's character more interesting. I knew she was going to have to leave her job for her health if nothing else from the last book. I didn't know ulcers were supposed to be so serious, don't tons of people have ulcers? Totally obvious bad guy from the moment they introduced their character. I thought there would be more confrontation between Byron and the bad guy and that he would do something to warrant getting punched...but no. I also thought for sure Kate was going to meet Byron's family in this story, but I guess not. It seemed a rather straight forward storyline, no real hurdles for the characters to get over in their journey towards the inevitable marriage. I'm hoping Laura gets a good guy in the next one. "
