Publisher Description

In the second book of Nora Roberts’s Dream Trilogy, the ever practical Kate Powell finds her career sidetracked by a scandal—one that will teach her the value of family, friendship, and love…

Surrounded by the sweeping cliffs and beauty of Big Sur, Kate Powell treasured both her life at Templeton House and the family who raised her like one of their own. Although Kate lacked Margo’s beauty and Laura’s elegance, she knew she had something they would never possess—a shrewd head for business.

Driven by ambition, Kate measured her life’s success with each soaring promotion. But now faced with professional impropriety, Kate is forced to look deep within herself—only to find something missing in her life...and in her heart.

"Great End of the trilogyI loved that book as I loved the other two about Margo and Kate. They are all so great personalities. I read this book again and again and it is as good as the first time I read it. Great!! "

" Not as good as the first, but still a good read. Byron and Kate aren't as romantic and loving as Margo and Josh. There was something about Byron that I really didn't like. "

" At the recommendation of my mother in law (a huge Nora Roberts fan), I gave this series a try. The first book, about Margo Templeton, left much to be desired, though I found the characters enjoyable enough. This book continues the formula of independent damsel in a highly publicized state of distress falls in love with a guy who isn't her type. Yawn. "

" Average chick book but still enjoyable. I guessed most of what was going to happen. I didn't doubt there would be a happy ending. Not intrested in finishing the dream trilogy thought. Stephen King is prasing Nora on the front. Doesn't seem like the kind of book he would enjoy. "
