" Buzz has the smartest pet ever! This is a story about a beautiful friendship between a boy and his pet. A short story that children want to read. "

" The book has great illustrations. It is a second grade book. I liked the imagination used in the book. Who would think to have a fly as a pet? It is a fun book to read. "

" Definitely an excellent book for early readers. The plot was pretty funny in my opinion, so I am sure younger readers would enjoy it even more. The illustrations go well with the plot, even sometimes having an illustration per sentence in case a young reader were to struggle on a word, the illustration could help them figure it out. I really liked this book had chapters, even though it was so short. This allows students to feel like they fit in and are reading the same books as their peers, simply because they have chapters, even though the levels may be way off. Even though I did really like this book, the difficulty seemed inconsistent, which could make parts of the book to easy or too difficult for readers depending on their level. "

" When a fly meets a kid named "Buzz" who's looking for a pet, it's a perfect match! This is a funny book for beginning readers. "

" Good to use for decoding strategies. This book is about a fly that finds a friend in a boy named Buzz. Buzz went out looking for a pet one day and literally runs into the fly. He decides he would be the perfect pet because he could say Buzz's name, so he puts him in a jar and names him Fly Guy. Disregarding his parents wishes, Buzz enters Fly Guy in the fair and Fly Guy wins the award for Smartest Pet. "

" This is one of 8 or so other Fly Guy books that my family is currently obsessed with right now! Our 6-year-old has learned to read with help of these books and even our 1-year-old toddles around the house saying "Ay Ay" (Fly Guy) and "Busssss" (Buzz)! The 6-year-old took a few of these along with him last week when we went to the library to read with a dog. What an awesome experience! He is so proud of his new found skill, and I so proud of him as well, that these Fly Guy books will always have a special place in my heart :) :) "

" The fly guy series is good for your boys in your room. They are kind of simple and boring, but I like the story this one teaches. You can be friends with anyone or anything it doesn't matter. Don't give up on someone just because people tell you they are no good. "
