I thought his emphasis on grace and God's love for children takes some of the pressure off parents to be perfect, even though some reviewers thought he attributed too much to parental influence. It didn't offer a lot of practical, "do this" advice, but that was part of his point. I like that he asks parents to examine their own hearts and consider how the Lord disciplines us. It's His kindness that leads us to repentance. Something to think about when the kids are driving you bananas! "
