Publisher Description

Janie thought she knew what her future held. And she thought she’d made her peace with it. But she can’t handle dragging Cabel down with her. She knows he will stay with her, despite what she sees in his dreams. He’s amazing. And she’s a train wreck. Janie sees only one way to give him the life he deserves: She has to disappear. And it’s going to kill them both. Then a stranger enters her life — and everything unravels. The future Janie once faced now has an ominous twist, and her choices are more dire than she’d ever thought possible. She alone must decide between the lesser of two evils. And time is running out. . . .

"Definitely my favorite of the three! It seems like my opinion has been the opposite of most readers: I thought the first book was just okay, the second book was pretty good, and the third book was really good. "Gone" had what I was looking for all along, more insight in Janie's character and her background, a good plot, and far more emotional depth. The only things that bothered me were that I thought the characters were a little too harsh to each other sometimes, particulary Cabel. I really like his character, but in this book it just seemed that he was occasionally acting like a jerk for no particular reason, and I thought the swearing was a little excessive, especially the "f" bombs. I mean, there's swearing to get your point across and to give what you're saying a little "oomph," and then there's swearing for the sake of swearing. All that said, this was still a really good book, which I very much enjoyed. In fact, I read it in one sitting! The books are so short I recommend reading the previous two (Wake and then Fade) just to get enough backstory to get to this third one, the real gem (in my opinion)."

" Good end to the series. Not as bad as the bad reviews said, but not nearly as great as the good ones made it to be. Actual review to come....maybe "

" I like how the author wrapped this series up. It was easy, pretty, or fairytale-like. It felt more real. Life is messy and hard, and sometimes there is no right, easy, or perfect choice! "

" This series started off good and exiting but as the books went on they got more dull. By Gone they just got horrible, I could barely get through the book, the plot was boring and unthought out to me, and the obstacles were just annoying I tried to finish it and I just couldn't. "

" Decent end of the trilogy. Language definitely not for the younger audience. I was hoping for some good news, even a mediocre happy ending. Not happening. More like resignation and acceptance. Reality tells us that's more likely to happen, not the fairy tale. "

" The trilogy as a whole is amazing. It is beautiful. Janie is one of those characters that sticks with you. It is always the choices that you don't get to make that are the hardest to deal with. Janie is also one of those characters that you know will be ok. "

" Este libro es más dramático que los dos anteriores, que ya lo eran bastante. La historia se centra cien por ciento en Janie y en la decisión que tiene que tomar. También nos aclaran algunas cosas respecto a su familia y en porque actúan de la forma en que lo hacen. "

" It was a pretty good book, I loved the relationship again. Although the plot could have been a bit deeper I still enjoyed imagining her father and mother. wasn't the best book I have read, but it wasn't the worst either. "
