" Amazing stories, but not nearly the power or writing quality of The Hiding Place. "

" Preachy, preachy, preachy. I loved "The Hiding Place" but really hated this book. First of all, it's a collection of essays, not actually a continued autobiography. Second, it was so extremely preachy and I say this as a Christian myself. I really tired of Corrie turning down a donation because the woman didn't convert from Corrie's speech, Corrie forcefully converting the Jews (I'm under the impression that either she wasn't like that in the Hiding-Place days or at least didn't show it), etc etc. "

" What an inspiring book! The sequel to 'The Hiding Place' (made into a movie). I saw the movie of the Hiding Place, but didn't read it before I read this one- however I still enjoyed it completely! Corrie Ten Boom was an amazing person and did some wonderful things! Definitely a must-read! "

" I enjoyed this book. I should have kept notes as I went. Considering buying it. She teaches of Christ and not one specific religion, but steps forward in complete trust and faith in the Lord. She was not afraid to "open her mouth" to teach. I couldn't help but think of missionary work and how I would be in a similar situation. Inspiring. "

" Just as good as The Hiding Place, hard to believe that someone going thru so much can keep such a positive outlook. "

" This is an amazing book by an amazing woman. Her life has been difficult and yet amazing all at once. And her faith and dependance on God are unmatched. I am amazed by her. She taught me much about faith and a deep love for God. "

" The Hiding Place was fantastic. This is the sequel, in a way, but it is no where near as good as the first. I kinda liked it in the beginning, but it quickly became very boring and annoying. I don't recommend it. "

" While I didn't enjoy this book as much as the Hiding Place, it was a good read. What I love most about Corrie is that she admits her weaknesses throughout her book & speaks about how she overcomes them. I love her innocence, wisdom, & straight-forward honesty. "
