Publisher Description

“A warm, wonderful (and hilarious!) story about learning to be your own hero. I h this book like crazy!!!!” —Lauren Myracle, author of Peace, Love and Baby Ducks   Devi’s life isn’t turning out at all like she wanted. She wasted three years going out with Bryan—cute, adorable, break-your-heart Bryan. Devi let her friendships fade, blew off studying, didn’t join any clubs . . . and since Bryan broke up with her right before senior prom, she has nothing left. Not even a working cell phone—she dropped hers in the mall fountain. Now it only calls one number . . . her number. At age fourteen, three years ago!             Once Devi gets over the shock—and convinces her younger self that she isn’t some wacko—she realizes that she’s been given an awesome gift. She can tell herself all the right things to do . . . because she’s already done the wrong ones! If freshman Devi takes her advice, they can hold on to their friends, get into a good—no, incredible—college, be an extracurricular superstar, and most importantly, spare themselves the heartbreak of Bryan! Fourteen-year-old Devi isn’t so sure, though. She likes Bryan. She’s happy. But who better to listen to than your future self . . . right?

"This was the first book that I read from this author and I loved it. I loved how this isn't just about a girl and a guy, but more about yourself and your choices. Unfortunately I didn't like the other books the author has published but i hope she comes up with more books like this!"

" this book is a amazing! i love the idea of playing around the theme " be careful of what you wish for". it is told in the perspective of a 14 year old and a 16 year old character. the book is full of details that lets the reader escape reality. "

" What if a broken cell phone allowed you to talk to yourself three years in the past? What if you thought that by doing so you could fix everything that had gone wrong in your life? That is the idea behind this book. It was a fun, light read and I enjoyed it although I thought the older Devi was being a bit selfish and bossy wanting the younger one to do all the work (work the older one never remembered doing) just so her circumstances could be improved. I did like that in the end both Devi's figured out what was best and I LOVED that the younger Devi figured it out first. "

" This one was recommended by my oldest. It was a cute read about a girl who calls her younger self and tries to make her change her life choices so that she doesn't get her heart broken when her boyfriend breaks up with her. The results were great. "

" This book could seems a typical chick lit, but it isn't. When you finish the book you find out the main idea which teach you that the balance between your friends, love and studies during your high school period is the best. "

" It was an interesting premise that set this book apart from other fluffy teen reads, but I couldn't sympathize that much with the older protagonist. I liked her younger self better. It did give a good message about not letting your boyfriend rule your life that I think most teens need to know. "
