"I just reread this book, which I remember reading a loving years ago. It's still so funny and touching, but some of the plot seems a bit awkward. If anybody could just sit down and talk to another character for two minutes, everything could have been sorted out SO EASILY! But I guess without that tension, there wouldn't have been a book to read."

" Bloated. A pretty good short story is hidden somewhere inside this 400 page book. Again, I apparently don't really have a sense of humor, because this book was touted as "hilarious." At no point in the book was I tempted to respond with more than a very slight smile. the constant attempts to incite a little "sexual tension" with constant references to who is "shagging" whom and mechanical descriptions of recreational sexual encounters left me wondering what connections the author has with the reviewer at USA Today who proclaimed the work "hilarious." " I really enjoyed this book. From the beginning I was worried it was another Bridget jones. One more of the same book I had already read- but it turned into more really enjoyable storylines and had a really great voice. Course, I lent it to my mom and she skimmed it and hated it. So. Hmm. "

" For what this was (British chick lit that wants to be Bridget Jones), it was okay. But not okay enough to get beyond page 136. I quit -- I'm going to Borders! "
