This is the story of G-Girls caught up in the danger and romance in Washington D.C. during World War II. It tells the adventures of several young women doing their part for the war effort. Most worked in relatively safe office jobs, but a select few go undercover in the glamorous but deadly game of counter-espionage. This book is a tribute to those brave women who picked up the gauntlet and kept more than the home fires burning. Women who didn't flinch during the tumultuous times of the 1940s, and helped forge a new breed of strong, independent women. Download and start listening now!

" One of Pug's earlier books, still very funny. Humor holds up very well over time. "

" Funny at times, but my favorite character was Smith the dog, and my favorite part was when Sam hid under the desk as part of his Napoleonic strategy. Not many highlights other than that. Most of the humans were completely unlikable (and, quite often, boring to boot!), and none of the parties in the story's central romantic entanglement were at all endearing. Paled in comparison to the last Wodehouse I read, A Damsel in Distress. "

" Wodehouse is generally good for many chuckles, but this one seemed to wander too often... "

" P.G. Wodehouse's non-Jeeves stories are often not as entertaining, but this one lives up to his standard! Full of farcical situations, wonderfully comic descriptions and a cast of adorably bumbling characters, it's a delightful romp from start to finish. I enjoyed it immensely. "

" Honestly, this is a Wodehouse book and should be better, but it is coming to understand what it must be and works. "

" great book... the occasions and situations were too funny... "

" A fun little book by Wodehouse about some rather silly men and their hair-brained schemes to woo a girl. But that describes just about every Wodehouse book, doesn't it? It's literary candy. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 John | 3/21/2013

" Pretty much the same plot/characters as the other romantic comedy novels but told with brio "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Leonardo Etcheto | 2/27/2013

" Classic Wodehouse. Everyone is busy doing nothing at all but getting tied up into knots. America, England, heroes and villains and all that rot. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Liz | 1/22/2013

" Is it possibly to call a Wodehouse novel too silly? Every novel by him is always good for some cheer and chuckles, but this one lacked some of his classic excellent character development. "

" Lotta fun. This was a notch or two above his norm, which is of course good. Nobody spins a metaphor like this man. From this book, just one will do. His mouth "gaped like a hole in a sliding cliff." "
