Be it as mundane as a quest for fair auto insurance, or as bizarre as a trip to the hospital to get a live moth removed from inside his ear, Gould's act redefines the art of stand-up comedy.

"This was fun. It was one of the John Ceepak mysteries loosely based on carnival rides and features. I've read (listened to) the other 6, and I get a true kick out of them. I don't know how to indicate a book that I've message to (unabridged, of course :-)) versus 1 that I am actually reading (The Good Lawyer). It being that I can only actually read about one book a month (I read slowly, and after about an hour, my eyes don't focus anymore). Anyway, I recommend the John Ceepak books by Chris Grabenstein. They aren't gory or violent, but they're more than fluff. My kids enjoyed listening with me on those."

" Love the ceepak character and his honor code. Grabenstein does it again with fun house. Just when I thought I had it figured out, I read that I was wrong lol. Only downside is having to wait so long for the next ceepak book. Well done! "

" OK, but not nearly as good as the others in the series -- this one was a bit too predictable and a bit too dumbed down (The narrator explains a fair number of familiar things -- Skeeball, for example -- that readers could have easily looked up if they didn't know what they were.) "

" As always, Chris Grabenstein delivers. While this book moved a bit slower than the others, it is still very enjoyable, and you like the good guys. To have a very straight-laced detective paired with a young smart-alec (who is willing to learn) was a great idea. Here's hoping there's more to come. "

" I found out about this one from Marilyn Stasio's "Crime" column in the Sunday NY Times Book Review. John Ceepak is great. A wonderful protagonist with a great sidekick narrator. Tongue in cheek and having fun all the way this story is good stuff. I may even investigate some of the earlier stories to see if they are as worthy as this one. A perfect summer read. "

" I liked this one, a bit compelling, a bit silly. Some mistakes in grammar, etc., but not enough to distract you. You figure it out before the characters do. "

" San Francisco has Dashell Hammet; Los Angeles Raymond Chandler, and now the Jersey Shore Chris Grabenstein. While Sea Haven may lack the noir charm of 40's LA and John Ceepak's moral compass is truer than Sam Spade's, Grabenstein's latest effort is a welcome addition to the John Ceepak series. "

" Sorry folks but I have a horrible literary crush on John Ceepak. Another great story, lots of fun.Characters that I feel are friends and a great plot, ripped from reality tv!! Sometimes it feels good to watch 'em squirm. "

" An obvious take off of "Jersey Shore" with the John Ceepak touch -- a little suspense about Ceepak staying down the shore or going back to the midwest --- an enjoyable quick read. "

" Another wonderful book from Chris Grabenstein. Ceepak and Boyle are faced with a "Jersey Shore" type show being filmed in Sea Haven. Great timing and pacing, believable characters, and lots of shots at reality TV. Great read! "
