" I found this book rather stilted - a mystery that seemed to take far too long to unravel, with a surprising but disjointed ending. I wouldn't recommend the Martha Gunn series; it's far less polished than the Joanna Piercy series. "

" I enjoyed this third book in the Martha Gunn series more than the first (I read River Deep some time ago). The characters are developed, the plot paced and sufficiently inticate. It didn't reach 5 stars, but was worth a read if you're looking for something not too taxing. "

" Skipped to the end. An unsatisfying read. "

" Quite bleh to be honest. The setting was intriguing, but the book fell a bit flat. There were too many sub-plots and things happening around the plot. The ending was disappointing and this book left me wishing for more. So I give this 2.5 stars. "
