Listener Opinions

" Guard wolves of the Beyond find the development of a wolf suicide cult and cannibalism during a famine to be shocking, but they are not disturbed by wolf swearing, the drinking of blood, and the amassing of bones to build mounds. Small prey animals are portrayed as nothing more than inferior meat, although their blood serves to revive dying wolves. Despite the mysterious setting, the plot quickly becomes uninteresting and the characters elicit little appeal in this 4th book of the series. "

" I love Laskey's work, but the story in this book seemed slightly repetitive. If this had been the first book, I don't know if I would have continued the series. - There are however a few perks for Folen...... "

" It's pretty good. One of the best so far. The storyline is quite obvious, especially who the villain is. Sometimes I think the author makes the characters a bit too dumb. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Katy | 10/14/2013

" I can see that this book was supposed to be a turning point for the whole series, but I don't think it was clear enough. Ah, well. It was pretty good anyways. "

" Kathryn Lasky writes another delectable book about Faolan. You won't be able to stop turning the pages in Frost Wolf, where you learn more secrets about the mysterious wolves of the beyond. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Diane | 9/22/2012

" This one was extremely slow compared to the first 3 books in the series. And it jumps around so much that the continuity of the story seems off. Hope for better things with the next one. "

" This book was okay but it read too much like the author didn't want to let go of the Owls of Gahool. It wasn't really interesting but maybe because this book was geared for children younger than me. "

" I liked tis one and I don't think people should critize the book for being sort of religious and stuff. It's very well written and has amazing plots. I love 'em. But to each their own. What I like about these books is they are a bit more mature. "
