Publisher Description

He was a stringy mongrel, wandering the streets of the city, driven by a ravenous hunger and hunting a quarry he could not define. But he was something more. Somewhere in the depths of his consciousness was a memory clawing its way to the surface, tormenting him, refusing to let him rest. The memory of what he had once been: a man.

"While very different to what I expected after reading other novels by James Herbert, I found this to be a very unique and intriguing writing style. The story is well put together, and while I thought in the first few chapters I may not find this story through the eyes of a dog too interesting, the ensuing 3 chapters hooked me in. I could not put this book down until it's unexpected ending."

" One of C Moore more creative and fantastical books - I liked it - not sure if it will appeal to all of his readers. More science fiction like but also pulls in characters from his other books and these characters have a cameo role in his Vamp lit books so this is better to read before those. "

" I wasn't too crazy about this book. It was a bit flat, and I wished there had been more tension. I tend to enjoy lengthier, more riveting novels. I think it was tricky since younger audiences may enjoy the point of view of a dog and the short length, while I feel that the idea of reincarnation may be directed to a bit more mature audiences. Overall, this book did not captivate me as a reader, and I wouldn't really recommend it to others. "

" I thought 'The Fog' wasn't half bad, but what a disappointment this was. If you're a dog-lover you might get something out of this, but if you're into a story, characters, plot and don't care a bit about the eating habits of stray dogs, stay away from this. "
