Publisher Description

No one in town has ever seen anything like it: a slimy, mobile tube of glistening yellow flesh with dull, staring eyes and an obscene, probing mouth. But the real horror is not what it looks like, or what it does when it invades your flesh—but what it makes you do to others.

"This was my first Laymon novel and I found it very enjoyable. It was fast paced, fun, and creepy. The book was very compelling and I always wanted to know what was going to happen next! The ending was a bit predictable, but other than that it was a great read. "

" A gory serial killer tale that uses a supernatural device as an excuse to write a gory serial killer tale, with thinly drawn and sometimes cliched characters it's hard to care anything about. "

" I enjoyed this horror by Laymon. It reminded me somewhat if Aliens or zombie eaters. And unlike some of the reviews I read, I enjoyed the story/set up of Alice and Evan. There was sufficient gore and creepiness for my liking! "
