You are reading this on a screen. You have First World Problems.

First World Problems: 101 Reasons Why The Terrorists Hate Us is a collection of short humorous essays and rants from a man who knows suffering. It is comedy that borders on tragedy.

What are First World Problems?

A First World Problem is a trivial issue that afflicts people in wealthier nations declared to be in the First World.

Third World Problem: I have to walk three miles to draw water from a dirty well or else I'll die of dehydration.

First World Problem: We have nothing to drink in the fridge except filtered tap water.

Do you have nothing to drink except a limitless supply of tap water? Have you ever bought so much food at the grocery store that it molded before you could eat it? Did you buy an iPhone one week before the new model was announced?

You're suffering from First World Problems.

What follows is the graphic account of what it's like to live in the First World. Tales of unreasonably cold air conditioning, eating to the point of exhaustion, and being unable to enjoy summer weather due to gainful employment in a bad economy.

" Interesting, humorous, different. Definetly don't take it seriously, it wasn't meant to be. I enjoyed the book until I got to the bathroom chapter! I got this as a free Kindle download and the first ebook I read on my ipod. "

" Really, I wasted my free book for the month on this. Some parts are funny however, it is awfully written and isn't engaging. Unfortunate, but glad I didn't spend money on it! "

" I loved this book. funny and honest, at times I felt like Ben's rants were my own. He covers it all-- from working in corporate America to bathrooms to fast food to shopping and the dreaded "Reply to All" in email. this is a GREAT book. its a fast read that will entertain. cant wait to see a sequel...I can offer my own rants if he is looking for material. "

" it was pretty entertaining and funny...and yet sadly true "

" This book was absolutely hilarious. I definitely related with all the First World problems mentioned (well except for the whole explosive diarrhea thing, that I am denying). These are some of life's major annoyances for those us First Worlders. This is a relatively short read but it is definitely packed with tons of humor that will leave you cackling madly as people stare at you wondering what is wrong with you. I would recommend this book if you're looking for a good laugh, and if you aren't looking for a good laugh, and are maybe too stressed from struggling with too many First World problems, you should probably read this book too. "

" Hilarious. Check this one out if you simply need a good laugh. It is common sense comedy. "

" I read this today in a couple of hours. It was funny. No story line or anything. Just random thoughts on random topics. I did laugh out loud and some of the fart related stuff and the work stuff. Fun quick read with excellent points. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Aletha | 1/6/2014

" A light-hearted book. Much of it was silly but it did show how petty people can be about everyday life. Reminds us to be thankful for what we do have!! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Kathie | 1/1/2014

" reminding me that all of us in the US are the 1% to the rest of the world "

" Even though I never really set out to finish this book, it turned out to be amusing enough to keep my interest. However so, it is obviously self-published and riddled with distracting errors. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Lauren King | 12/2/2013

" Not bad. Kind of cheesy but definitely plenty of laugh-out-loud moments - mostly because I could totally relate. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Amanda Yanez | 10/2/2013

" At several points, I laughed so hard that I was in tears! It's made even more funny by the fact that I guarantee most of us have had these same thoughts! "

  • 1 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 51 out of 5 Sarah Bergeron | 9/15/2013

" Read a sample of the book, which I felt was enough. Each chapter points out a "problem" of most Americans, in dry humorous writing. A funny concept but I wasn't compelled to finish it. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Amber Draves | 7/12/2013

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Ashlee Castillo | 4/18/2013

" It was very funny, I have bought it on Amazon and there are alot of typos. I have alot more first world problems in my head he could have added. It would have been nice to have some more, facts? I think that is the word I am looking for. But nevertheless it was a light and entertaining read. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Sarah | 1/27/2013

" This is a quick read that is mildly amusing. I liked it well enough that I think others will like it and find it funny, but its not the funniest book EVAR!!! It's good to read if you need something quick in between books, or something lighter after a more intense book. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Gina Boyd | 1/11/2013

" The book is self-published, and while the author is often funny, having an editor would have helped enormously. There are so many errors in grammar, usage, and punctuation that I was too distracted to enjoy the observations as much as I could have. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Caleb Rogers | 1/5/2013

" This is a great toilet-reading book. It's comprised of short, sometimes funny, essays about coping with life in a first world nation. There's nothing really deep and meaningful here...it's just fun to read. "
