Fearless: The Undaunted Courage and Ultimate Sacrifice of Navy SEAL Team SIX Operator Adam Brown is the riveting true story of one of the US military's most legendary warriors.

SEAL Team SIX member Adam Brown did not know that he would die on March 17, 2010, in the mountains of Afghanistan—but he was prepared: In a letter to his family, only meant to be read if he did not survive, he wrote, "I'm not afraid of anything that might happen to me on this earth, because I know no matter what, nothing can take my spirit from me."

Long before becoming a Navy SEAL, Adam Brown grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where his greatest ambition was to play high school football. Adam was a daredevil, known for diving from bridges into lakes and leaping from rooftops into trees. He suffered broken bones, but never broke a promise to his parents.

After high school, Adam's love of risk drew him to the wrong crowd, and he fell into a downward spiral, eventually winding up in jail. As he battled his own worst impulses and searched for redemption, Adam had a new ambition: to become an elite US Navy SEAL.

A compelling story of humanity and heroism, Fearless is an unforgettable biography of a highly trained soldier who would arrive at a village with gun in hand hunting terrorists, only to return the next day bearing gifts of food and shoes for the local children. It is a revealing, deeply personal glimpse inside the brotherhood of SEAL Team SIX that also shows how these elite warriors live their lives at home, as fathers, husbands and friends.

Fearless is the tale of an intense man, who drew his determination and courage from family, faith, and his wife's love. It's the story of a man who conquered his own inner demons and struggled against staggering odds to reach the upper echelon of the US military. Always eager to volunteer for even the most dangerous missions, Adam made the ultimate sacrifice for his country with his final act of bravery.

Adam Brown was an unlikely hero, but a devoted man and a brave warrior, remembered by those who knew him as Fearless.

Eric Blehm is an award-winning and bestselling nonfiction author. He won the 2006 Barnes & Noble Discover Award for The Last Season, a gripping true story of the vanishing of legendary National Park Service ranger Randy Morgenson.

Fearless takes you deep into SEAL Team SIX and straight to the heart of one of its most legendary operators.

When Navy SEAL Adam Brown woke up on March 17, 2010, he didn't know he would die that night in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Afghanistan - but he was ready: In a letter to his children, not meant to be seen unless the worst happened, he wrote, I'm not afraid of anything that might happen to me on this earth, because I know no matter what, nothing can take my spirit from me.

Long before Adam Brown became a member of the elite SEAL Team SIX - the counterterrorism unit that took down Osama bin Laden - he was a fun-loving country boy from Hot Springs, Arkansas, whose greatest goal had been to wear his high school's football jersey. An undersized daredevil, prone to jumping off roofs into trees and off bridges into lakes, Adam was a kid who broke his own bones but would never break a promise to his parents.

But after high school, Adam fell in with the wrong crowd, and his family watched as his appetite for risk dragged him into a downward spiral that eventually landed him in jail. Battling his inner demons on a last-chance road to redemption, Adam had one goal: to become the best of the best - a US Navy SEAL.

An absorbing chronicle of heroism and humanity, Fearless presents an indelible portrait of a highly trained warrior who would enter a village with weapons in hand to hunt terrorists, only to come back the next day with an armload of shoes and meals for local children. It is a deeply personal, revealing glimpse inside the SEAL Team SIX brotherhood that also shows how these elite operators live out the rest of their lives, away from danger, as husbands, fathers and friends.

Fearless is the story of a man of extremes, whose courage and determination was fueled by faith, family, and the love of a woman. It's about a man who w... Download and start listening now!

" The absolute best book. A must read, re-read. "

" No doubt this is a great story but the writing was somewhat weak. If only John Krakauer could have had a shot at this one. If you are not a Christian, the spiritual aspect can seem heavy handed and even become a distraction. With that said, it was an integral part of Adam Brown's life and should not be left out for that reason. I'm sure this is the way he would want it to read and that it is a way of witnessing the faith he believed so strongly. In no way should this deter you from reading Fearless and don't give up half way through. The last half is pretty strong. "

" Great story of a hero, his ups and downs and the unlikelihood of his ever being what he is hailed as now. Very, VERY Christian-based, but not categorized as Christian literature. It was difficult to get around the proselytizing and find the real story. "
