Publisher Description

Colin Wilcox, a male escort who only takes clients of the same sex, is assaulted while on the job. Needing medical attention he's taken the local ER where he meets a doctor who aids in his recovery. Reoccurring flashbacks during his recovery provide small images of his brutal assault and he's forced by Detective Dane Keyes to handle the emotional fallout of being victimized. Detective Keyes, a victim himself, is assigned to solve the crime. When a second boy is assaulted and then murdered, he needs Colin's help to catch the perpetrators. He tries to use his own personal experience in an attempt to help Colin understand he's not to blame for what happened. A slow but sure friendship unfolds between the two men that turns into love, but even when the perps are in custody, Colin still has a battle to face. He must learn to lower his barriers and allow Keyes in for both mental and physical support. Only then will the two lovers be able to consummate their tender passion.

"Enjoyable reading, made me laugh, and cry. I loved the characters, Marc, Bill, Colin and Dane were all interesting and realistic, I thought. There was one moment at the end that gave me pause, but... it is fiction ..."

" I waffled on this one. 3 stars? 3.5? 4? There were a few niggles, but I liked the characters so much that I think a four-star rating is justified. I'll be looking for more from this author. "
