" I was very disappointed with this book. I like the character of Jane McGuire and MacDuff, but this book seemed to veer off course and not stick with what the author set up in previous books. Previously, MacDuff was insanely after Jane and she had strong feelings for him. Then in this book MacDuff plays such a small role and never really even talks to Jane after the second chapter. Meanwhile, she is intrigued with Caleb, and all this happens under MacDuff's nose. Strange and disjointed. Not a very good thriller, either. "
