Året är 43 e. Kr och romarna är i full färd med att erövra Britannien. För att kejsarens lysande seger inte ska omvandlas till ett svidande nederlag måste Macro och Cato agera snabbt. Tiden är på väg att rinna ut....

Erövringen är den andra delen i Simon Scarrows Silverörnserie, en episk berättelse om det romerska rikets fälttåg under vår tideräknings första århundrade. Den första delen, Legionären, utkom på svenska 2009.

"What a genuinely thrilling and fun book :) I seriously enjoyed how the stories of the main characters ran along paralell with eachother and the dramatic irony that became apparent as a result of it. Not going to give anything away but I seriously recommend this book :) "

    " The whole campaign in Britain was fine, it is a book about a Legion. What I found really weak was the political side of it and the whole conspiracy to kill the Emperor. Not once it is mentioned why the character that wants the Emperor dead is doing it. Let's hope the next volume is more enticing. "

    " Scarrow doesn't disappoint with his second novel of the Roman legions. Once again, the book avoids glaring historical errors or anachronisms, but still makes some concessions for a good story. And those concessions are worth it. Well researched and a fun read. "
