The bed and breakfast was hidden in the hills of West Virginia. Wary guests wondered how it could stay in business at such a creepy, remote location, especially with its bizarre, presidential decor and eccentric proprietor. With the event hotel for the national Iron Woman triathlon accidentally overbooked, competitor Maria was forced to stay at the Rushmore. But after checking into her room, she quickly realized she wasn't alone.

First her suitcase wasn't where she put it. Then her cell phone was moved. Finally, she heard an odd creaking under the bed. Confusion quickly turned to fear, and fear to hysteria when she discovered the front door was barred and the windows were bricked over. There was no way out.

One year later, four new female athletes have become guests of the Inn. Will they escape the horrors within its walls? Or will they join the many others who have died there, in ways too terrible to imagine?

" It was a little bloody but it held my interest. In fact, I'm reading Trapped now so I guess I must like all that gore. "

" That was one sick, twisted, and creepy story. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I don't know if I can ever be comfortable in a hotel again. Maybe after I check it for trapped doors in my room! This is the third book of Jack Kilborn I've read and I will read more. "

" I loved this book. I loved the characters and the horror movie theme. This book was right up my ally with its fast pace, and concept. I also love running and think that added to the characters for me. "

" I was fortunate to be able to check this book out from the public library on my Kindle. I didn't know what to think of it, since I don't usually read horror. I have to say I enjoyed the book very much. It actually gave me a bad dream one night. I am glad that writers are able to get their books out there without going through the traditional publishers. "

" I loved the first book I read from Jack Kilborn, Afraid. This one was under-whelming. "

" O.K. This book is different from anything I've ever read before. It's gory, gross and non-stop action. And when I say non-stop action, I mean that. There are no parts to catch your breath. I'm sure this is the way the author intended it, since the book is called Endurance. But personally, I needed some breathers. So much grossness all at once was too much for me. It reminded me of a B movie with killing after killing and no chance to breathe. I was intrigued. I finished it all in 2 sittings. So it did keep me interested. I guess I like a little less gore in my books and a little more plot might have been better for me. But if you are a fan of pure horror, with gross, detailed descriptions, then you will love this book. I was entertained. "

" There is no letdown in the third of his three Novels of Terror. From the very beginning this book brings chills and keeps piling it on till the end. Though after these three books I no longer want to camp on a deserted island, go to the back country of West Virginia, or Safe Harbor, Wisconsin. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Erin | 5/3/2013

" This book isn't going to win any literature awards, but it's a fun book to read. If you like movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes, you'll enjoy this book. It's a quick and easy read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Dee | 11/23/2011

" This book was bizarre and off the wall - I loved it! My only complaint, editing was not thorough. There are more than a few misspelled/misused words and at least one sentence that obviously belonged in another draft but wasn't deleted. But gripping story. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Crissy Stanley | 11/1/2011

" I read this because it takes place in WV, which is where I've lived most of my life. It was definitely a thriller, with a lot of gore and grossness thrown in. It is a light and quick read. I enjoyed it. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jesse | 5/19/2011

" A genuinely creepy "novel of terror". The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the sheer brutality was almost too much. Sometimes, for me at least, some things are best left to the imagination. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Starr | 5/7/2011

" This book was great and hard to put down. It isn't easy to scare readers with written work, but this author has succeeded in creating a truly creepy piece of work, "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 William | 4/29/2011

" Another grotesque, gory slaughterfest by Jack Kilborn. Kilborn/Konrath is the master of this genre.

Imagine being trapped, no hope, being raped and tortured repeatedly. Kilborn can describe theses scenes in amazing detail. If you are squeamish then don't read these book. "
