Publisher Description

All I wanted was to impress my best friend, Shona, and the other mermaids who live in the sea around Allpoints Island. But what did I do instead? I woke up the kraken, a terrifying octopus-like monster the size of an apartment building. Now he's coming after everything and everyone I love. And who can stop him? You guessed it. Me. Well, me and Shona, and another person too, someone I'd hoped never, ever to see again.

"This book is a sequel to the first book. To understand this book more, i highly recommend to read the first book first (the tail of emily windsnap). This book gave the funny feeling of being scared at a time while still wanting to know what happens next. Very engaging but a little bit intense, more intense than the first book. An enchanting fantasy with a fabulous monster, a cast of engaging, funny characters, plenty of mermaid magic and a page-turning story. Well written and swiishyyy!!!"

" Another fun book about Emily the 'semi-mer' maid. The only thing that bugs me about this book (and the first one) is the overly-intense rivalry with another girl and the self-inflicted peer pressure mistakes. But overall, a good book with a good ending. "
