" I had been heming and hawing about whether to download this book and read it or not. The sample had me intrigued, but it took me a few months to actually get around to downloading the whole thing. (so maybe that should have been a clue). I never fell in love w/the characters...even though I wanted to, but the characters, and the story just never clicked for me. I really wanted to like this book, looking for some redeming quality that would give me the excuse to look at the second book. Just couldn't do it, this is a first for me, since I usually read the whole series before I make a judgement. "
